Chickpea stew «Arrabbiata»

 The Bongiovi family greets you and says in Moroccan Arabic

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 Glass «Bongiovi Arrabbiata» sauce
  • 1 yellow or red pepper
  • 1 large sweet potato
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 can of chopped tomatoes
  • 2 cans of chickpeas (approx. 800g)
  • 1/2 - 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 - 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 bunch of parsley


Dice the sweet potato, onion, garlic and peppers. Heat the oil in a saucepan and fry the sweet potato, onions, garlic and peppers for about 5 minutes, stir in the cumin and simmer for about 1 to 2 minutes.

Now drain the chickpeas and add them with the tomatoes and the Bongiovi Arrabbiata sauce. Stir in the other spices and simmer for about 15 minutes. When the potatoes are soft, the stew is ready. Finally add the chopped parsley.


Serve with couscous.
